A deceased body was found Sunday afternoon in a shed behind a residence, according to Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.

The body was found in the 500 block of Southview Drive, according to Harris.

Harris said a death investigation is underway, but the case is not related to the investigation of Aniah Blanchard's disappearance.

The death is believed to be from natural causes, and foul play is not suspected at this time, Harris said.

The body will be taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death, Harris said.

The case remains under investigation by the Lee County Coroner, Auburn Police Division and The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
