Auburn teen arrested for alleged burglary

Police arrested an Auburn teen who allegedly stole $2,500 in property near Aspen Heights, a student housing complex located off of Opelika Road. 

Zaire Jamani Oliver, 18, from Auburn, was charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree theft of property, police said.

Police said Oliver was seen through video surveillance and subsequently developed as a suspect. Officials said $800 in property has been recovered.

Oliver was taken to the Lee County Jail and is being held on a $10,000 bond, police said.

The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division.
