Police make arrest in Evergreen apartment shooting

The Auburn Police Division made an arrest on Feb. 17 in the investigation of a shooting incident at Evergreen, an apartment complex in the 1100 block of South College Street.

Demarrius Travell Bridges, 23, of Opelika, was charged with attempted murder on a felony warrant after turning himself into officials. Police said he was transported to the Lee County Jail and is being held on a $75,000 bond.

A 22 year-old male victim from Auburn sustained a non-life-threatening injury in the incident and is being treated at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center. He is in stable condition, according to police
