Late Thursday evening Auburn received its fourth commitment of the 2021 recruiting class in offensive tackle J’Marion Gooch.
Auburn was competing with Tennessee to land Gooch, but the Tigers ultimately came out on top for the Tennessee native. As of now Gooch is a 3-star, but he had over 20 offers before ultimately committing.
Gooch is listed at 6-foot-7, 358 pounds and will arrive at Auburn at a position of need.
In 2020, Auburn brought in JUCO prospects Brenden Coffey and Kilian Zierer at offensive tackle
Gooch joins a class currently made up of defensive tackle Lee Hunter, running back Armoni Goodwin and defensive back Phillip O’Brien Jr.
For 2021, Auburn is still targeting Tommy Brockermeyer, Amarius Mims, Tristan Leigh, Savion Byrd, Caleb Johnson and eight other offensive tackles.
After landing Brandon Council as a graduate transfer, Gooch becomes the first player to commit to playing for Auburn's new offensive line coach, Jack Bicknell Jr.
