Ibraheem Yazeed, 33, is the man accused of kidnapping Aniah Blanchard, 19, who went missing in October 2019.

The case involving the death of 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard will be presented in front of a Lee County grand jury.

Lee County Judge Russel Bush found probable cause to send the case of Ibrahim Yazeed, the 30-year-old Montgomery man accused of kidnapping and killing Blanchard last fall, to a grand jury on Wednesday afternoon.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in this case, and Yazeed is currently being held in Lee County Jail without bond.

The date of the grand jury hearing is currently unknown.

Yazeed is accused of Blanchard from the Chevron gas station on South College Street in October. Investigators found human remains belonging to those of Blanchard near County Road 2 in Macon County on Nov. 25.

Early in November, Yazeed was arrested in Pensacola, Florida.

Two other men have been arrested in connection with this case, though one had charges against him dropped.
