A spirit that is not afraid

EDITORIAL | Why we aren't in print this week

A newsstand outside of the Melton Student Center remains empty for another week.

For financial reasons related to the ongoing pandemic, The Plainsman staff has chosen to not publish a printed edition this week. With the University's decision to allow remote learning during the first few weeks of the semester, we thought it best to conserve our resources until a larger percentage of the student population is on campus later in the semester.

This was not a decision that we came to easily or quickly, but it is one that we believe is necessary to ensure that this journalistic institution is able to continue serving the Auburn community in the years to come.

During the month of February, we will continue to print every other week.

In the meantime, our dedicated student journalists are still producing content which will be published on our social media accounts and website.
