An Auburn man was arrested on a warrant charging him with rape second degree in relation to an incident in early June, according to the Auburn Police Division.

Koreyan D’Andre McBride, 21, was arrested Tuesday, police said.

The arrest stems from an investigation into an incident on June 3 in the 1200 block of South College Street.
The victim was older than 12 but younger than 16, police said.

Police identified McBride as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Police located and arrested McBride on June 15. He was transported to Lee County Jail following his arrest, where he was held on a $25,000 bond.
