A spirit that is not afraid

FetchMe launches one-hour alcohol delivery

FetchMe, the online delivery service based in Auburn, announced Alabama residents may now order beer, spirits and wine from licensed local retailers and restaurants online.

The company allows food orders from local restaurants to be made at FetchMeDelivery.com. For alcoholic beverages, individuals who are 21 years or older can order from local sellers at FetchMeAlcohol.com.

"We're thrilled to work with FetchMe as we bring alcohol delivery to Alabama," said Becky Sharp, owner of John Emerald Distillery Company. "We're heard consistently from customers that they are looking for more convenience as they order from John Emerald Distillery Company."

When customers place an order online, they can select their preferred beverages from local retailers. Then, a FetchMe Fetcher, who is certified to safely and accurately deliver alcohol, will bring the items directly to their door. Customers will be required to present identification upon delivery.

"Now whether they're in the store and looking for FetchMe to bring their order home or ordering from their home for in-person gatherings, FetchMe can help our customers make the most of their time with one-hour delivery of the alcohol beverages," said Zamil Ali, owner of Z&Z Tobacco & Spirits.

To deliver alcohol, Fetchers undergo a training program approved by the Alabama ABC Board on topics like identifying underage individuals, intoxicated people and fake or altered identification.
