Auburn looks to gain its third consecutive SEC series win when the Tigers travel to Knoxville, TN for the final road series of the regular season. Auburn has not won three straight SEC series since ending the 2023 season with four consecutive SEC series wins.
Currently sitting at 27-17 overall, Auburn enters the series swinging with serious power. The Tigers have hit 54 home runs so far this season—their highest total since the 2023 season with 64, and the eighth most in a single season in program history. Offensively, they’ve hit double digits in scoring eight times, a stark contrast from just twice in all of 2024. Auburn is an impressive 17-1 this season when scoring six or more runs.
The Tigers look to continue this momentum against Tennessee tomorrow. This three-game series will mark the fourth top-five opponent Auburn has faced in SEC play. If successful, this will be Auburn’s first series win over Tennessee since 2019.
Nelia Peralta continues to etch her name in Auburn’s record books. She reached her 200th career start during the recent Kentucky series, becoming just the 20th Tiger to hit that milestone. Her impact is undeniable as Auburn boasts a .690 winning percentage (89-40) over the past four seasons when she records a hit, a .744 mark (29-10) with multi-hit games and a .730 clip (19-6) when she homers.
In the circle, left-hander SJ Geurin has played a role in 21 of Auburn’s 27 victories. She leads the team with 17 wins and has notched four saves. Geurin ranks third in the SEC and 13th nationally in total wins, anchoring Auburn’s rotation against some of the toughest lineups in the country.
Defensively, Icess Tresvik continues to shine in the outfield. Her 11th career outfield assist—recorded during the Texas series—makes her just the seventh Auburn outfielder in program history to reach that mark.
Freshman AnnaLea Adams is also making history of her own. With eight home runs this season, she’s tied Jessie Blaine (2022) for the fourth-most home runs by a freshman in program history.
Auburn's 19 come-from behind victories this season leads the country. Alabama and North Texas are the next closest team with 15 comeback wins each. With eight home runs this season, AnnaLea Adams has tied Jessie Blaine (2022) for the fourth most home runs ever hit by a Tiger freshman. Auburn boasts the third toughest schedule in the country as its opponents hold a .667 winning percentage this season
Auburn heads to Knoxville, TN with a chance to make a strong statement. With solid performances from both veterans and newcomers, the Tigers could gain their third straight SEC series win and first win over Tennessee since 2019. First pitch of the three-game series is set for tonight at 5 p.m. CST.
