Pedestrian hit on Wright Street, transported to hospital

A woman is in the hospital today after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Wright Street and West Glenn Avenue just before noon. 

The Auburn Police Department and Auburn Fire Department arrived on scene and provided aid to the woman, who was then transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Parisay Babar, a sophomore in public relations, was present at the time of the accident and says that the woman was alert and responsive during treatment.

“She was surrounded by around 10 paramedics, and when I passed by, they were taking her blood pressure,” Babar said. “She was awake and responsive, sitting on the ground, and her friends were standing on the side holding her stuff.”
