This weekend, Auburn No. 4 women's and No. 14 men's tennis teams will play across the country, against South Carolina on Thursday and Arkansas on Sunday.

Currently, the men's team holds a 14-3 record overall and a 10-1 home-court record, while the women possess a 23-1 overall record and maintain a 15-0 home-court record and a 10-match winning streak.

Despite a comeback victory over No. 13 Vanderbilt last Sunday, No. 14 Auburn fell in its last match against No. 33 Kentucky on the road. Despite the overall loss, Nicolas Heng and Alan Bojarski claimed victories in their respective singles matches. The Tigers' women's squad responded with a 4-0 win over Kentucky at Auburn's Yarbrough Tennis Center.

“Every win in the SEC is tough to get,” Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo said after the women's match against Kentucky.

Thursday, the women's team will face the No. 24 South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia, South Carolina, at 4 p.m. CST.

The next day, the men meet their match in the Midwest against Oklahoma at the Headington Family Tennis Center at 5 p.m. CST.

The men's and women's teams will alternate match days, with the women's team playing again on March 21 against No. 1 Georgia in Athens, Georgia, at 2 p.m. CST. The series concludes on Sunday with a match against Arkansas at 12 p.m. CST at the Billingsley Tennis Center.

“We had a tough go of it on this trip last year and lost both of these matches,” Szabo said.

When introduced as the new head coach in June 2024, Szabo focused on consistency and building a strong culture among the Tigers. This year, Auburn tennis entered the season with higher expectations than its 2024 season, and its strong start this year with victories against top-25 teams supported these hopes.

The Gamecocks had a promising start to the season with a gradual increase in rank, even reaching a peak at No. 11 before succumbing to three consecutive losses to Vanderbilt, No. 9 Texas and No. 5 Texas A&M.

Georgia stands as a historic opponent. Earlier this season, the Tigers experienced some success against the Bulldogs at the ITA South Sectional Championships, but they were ultimately defeated 4-3.

Tune in this weekend as the Auburn Tigers travel across the South. All matches will be accessible through Auburn's official men's and women's tennis websites.
