It's a show that depicts what most consider modern love stories, and helps people who have developed online relationships finally meet face to face. It's the moment we all wait for, an entire day dedicated to drinking beer, listening to good tunes and dressing like Joe Dirt. It's a time that brings people together from schools all around the South that are decidedly not as cool as Auburn.

Most college students spend their spring break trips sprawled out on beaches across the South attempting to get a little sun, a little sand and a lot of booze. In a small town like Auburn, finding a place to shop for original looks isn't always the easiest task. As college students, the idea of adopting and maintaining a pet other than a goldfish or a gerbil can be somewhat unrealistic. Having someone to love and keep company on particularly lonely nights seems like a winning scenario, but this idea alone can cloud the reality. Because pets come with unfamiliar stenches, chewed or scratched furniture and extra costs for food and vet visits. They pee on things, eat a favorite pair of shoes and cry throughout the night.

During the month of February, Niffer's has partnered up with The Gnu's Room as a part of "Niffer's Gives Back." This program gives non-profit organizations the opportunity to raise money for a month by donating a portion of every receipt signed with the organization's phone number on the back.
The Gnu's Room is a non-profit bookstore located at 414 South Gay St. A self-proclaimed arts center, The Gnu's Room also offers book signings, live acoustic music, open mics, dance performances, art shows and more.
For this month only, if you eat at Niffer's you can write The Gnu's Room's phone number on the back of your receipt, which will donate 10 percent of your tab to their organization.
One of The Gnu's Room's owners, Tina Tatum, said "We discovered that Niffer's offered this opportunity to non-profits, so we signed up and they assigned us the month of February," Tatum said. "So for the entire month, anytime anyone goes in that wants Niffer's to contribute a portion of their ticket price of what they have eaten, they can just put the Gnu's room's phone number on the back and at the end of the month they will send us a check for our percent."
It doesn't matter if you are a frequent customer of The Gnu's Room or not, everyone is encouraged to help out.

Hagan attended Auburn University before moving to Brooklyn, NY in 2008.
AL.com said Hagan was "a runner-up with the Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen & Miss Alabama Scholarship Competitions."
She currently attends The Fashion Institute of Technology where she studies Advertising, Marketing and Communications.
MissNY.org said, "Mallory Hagan will be focusing her efforts on Child Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention, an issue that hits close to home. Hagan has chosen to honor the women in her family who have been victims of sexual abuse by sharing their personal stories and encouraging others to take a stand. Current partnerships include organizations such as Stop It Now!, Darkness to Light and Safe Horizon."
Hagan won over the judges with a lively tap dance to James Brown's "Get Up Offa That Thing" and a victory in the swimwear competition.
When faced with a difficult question about guns in light of the Newtown shootings, Hagan said, "I don't think the proper way to fight violence is with violence. I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period."
Hagan wins a $50,000 scholarship and gets the crown for one year.
