Jake Haston, junior in journalism, was elected the next president of Auburn's Student Government Association for the 2022-2023 academic year during election callouts held Friday night on the steps behind Cater Hall.
Opelika City Schools Superintendent Mark Neighbors announced that he is retiring after 15 years at the school district Wednesday morning.
In June 2021, Auburn University President Jay Gogue announced that he was looking to retire from his current position after serving his second term as president. The University has announced Chris Roberts as the single candidate in the running to take over Gogue’s place.
For the second time in a week, East Alabama Health reported a new all-time high in COVID-19 hospitalizations as of Jan. 18 with 100 patients. This rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations follows a previous high of 96 on Sunday, which surpassed the previous all-time high of 93 on Sept. 4, 2021.
