Thanksgiving break is a time when students can finally kick up their feet and relax before finals season comes into full swing. November is also typically a time when major movies come out in theaters. Take some time to relax this break by going to see cinematic productions on the big screen, while munching on extremely buttered popcorn and sipping a cold soda. As an English major at Auburn University, I can’t help but feel disturbed by the way that Alabama has treated the study of English. While faculty are now set scrambling to revise syllabi around the bill’s vaguely categorical terms, students will be the ones who bear its real effects.
Auburn women’s basketball is off to its strongest start in nearly a decade, moving to 5-0 after grinding out a 69-65 win over Georgia State on Monday night at Neville Arena. It was not always pretty, and it certainly was not easy, but the Tigers once again found ways to close out a tight game.
