"Do you smell blueberry muffins?"

Fun fact: Blueberry Gum Guy is not his given name. Daniel Church, a security shuttle driver, has been chauffeuring Auburn students for 10 years now and has made quite an impression on those that hop into his van. Church's hire date was April 11, 2006, making his 10 year anniversary fairly recent.

How not to study for finals

Every student is faced with the difficult task of preparing for finals week at the end of each semester, and it’s made even more stressful when one is uncertain about which study habits will facilitate success. Hannah Hashimi, Study Partners lead tutor and senior in chemistry, said one of the biggest mistakes students make is to get caught up in the hype of finals week. “The library is often a fun and exciting place where students come and commiserate with each other rather than studying,” Hashimi said.

Though the student makeup of Auburn University is split almost straight down the middle — half men, half women — there are nearly twice as many male international students as women international students at Auburn. Just last fall, the University created Auburn Global, an office tasked with bringing an influx of undergraduate international students to campus, and it partnered with Shorelight Education, a company that funds and manages universities’ international goals. Auburn Global plans to increase the number undergraduate international students from 2015’s 317 to 1,000 students by 2020, said Associate Provost J.

Hunger studies class raises awareness of poverty

Auburn University is not a poor institution, so why do we have poor employees?  This was the question asked tonight at "Are we Living the Creed," a discussion and presentation by the capstone hunger studies class and Living the Creed organization at Mama Mocha's Coffee Emporium and Roasters. The hunger studies capstone class is made to pick a subject each semester that they believe needs to be addressed.
