Engineering program offers students free summer in India

The search is on for participants in an all-expenses-paid summer abroad program for two months in India.The program is made possible through Laboratory for Innovative Technology and Engineering Education, a research group at Auburn, and funding from the National Science Foundation's International Research Experience for Students.

Layman Group 'reveals' fall lineup

Admirers of the arts crowded into the loft above Behind the Glass on Magnolia Avenue Friday evening for the Layman Group's season premiere, "Reveal.""This is the first time I've shown my art in a show sense," said Kristi Dallen, whose exhibit headlined the evening.

Dorm visitation hours disputable

Of the 24,000 students who attend Auburn, only approximately 4,000 live in on-campus residence halls.On-campus regulations include rules against noise violations, pets, certain appliances, alcohol and illegal substances, and visitors of the opposite sex between midnight and noon.

Focus of sustainability for landscape architecture

Trying to find a parking spot on game day is as difficult as hearing the snap count on a third down in Jordan-Hare.David George, director of the Tiger Transit system, said he wants students to know there is a better, less stressful way to make it to the stadium and still have enough time to tailgate before the game.

Going Greek leads to higher retention, study says

There are benefits to fraternities and sororities beyond new friends and regularly scheduled band parties.A recent collaborative effort between the Office of Greek Life and the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) has shown that members of the Greek community are more likely to stay at Auburn and graduate than independent students.
