After Clemson defeated Auburn and senior running back Andre Ellington donned the Old Leather Helmet trophy, head coach Dabo Swinney summed up Ellington's success by giving credit to his offensive line.

In the past few years, Auburn and Clemson have formed the beginnings of a heated rivalry. Already similar in mascot and campus, the recent games played between the two teams have differed no less on the scoreboard.

Auburn in good hands despite Benton suspension

Over the past two seasons, an all-star offensive player has led the Auburn football team.Whether you look at Cam Newton in 2010 or Michael Dyer in 2011, one thing is clear: it was star power that gave the Tigers the competitive edge.

Coach Gene Chizik described the last football practice before the first game as "focused." The team only plans to do a run-through tomorrow of some plays and work on last minute touch-ups. Tonight was the last night for the guys to get physical out there on the field with each other.
