“We’re excited," Nix said. "We’ve got a lot of reps, thrown a lot of footballs to each other, so we’re excited to get out there and play a different team.”
"We want to establish the run: a downhill, physical run game,” Brahms said. “That opens up everything on offense. If we do that well, we will have fun on Saturday and every Saturday to come."

Following the cancellation of the Southeastern Showdown in Hammond, Louisiana, due to Hurricane Ida, Auburn will now play host to a modified tournament inside Auburn Arena this week.

"I thought we really did a good job the last 10 minutes of limiting Troy to no real dangerous opportunities," Hoppa said. "I thought we kept the ball well, we held it in the corner well, and that's really good experience for our young team."
