OPINION: Why Jordan-Hare should not be a no-hate zone

This past November, the Student Government Association tabled a bill that would change policy within Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium. The policy, which would make Jordan-Hare Stadium a No-Hate Zone, aimed to address concerns of offensive speech and slurs within the stadium.

Early in the second half of the Auburn women's basketball team's March 24 WNIT game against Old Dominion, senior forward Tyrese Tanner decided it was time to put some space between the Tigers and the Big Blue. Tanner rejected an Old Dominion shot, and then proceeded to go on a 6-0 run by herself.
