Staying active in Auburn

Whether students enjoy late afternoon runs in "The Rec," walks with friends around campus or fitness classes conveniently located near their apartment, there is no shortage of ways to stay active in Auburn. Within the past couple of years, recent fitness additions, such as workout classes or local gyms, have grown to help students maintain healthy lifestyles year-round. These new fitness communities are becoming multigenerational, as they are populated with college students and residents who enjoy a breadth of exercise options.

Fall dorm recipes for and by Auburn students

When the temperature drops to a crisp breeze and the season starts to change, so does one’s palette. Hot lattes and warm drinks are now the most ordered off the coffee shops' menus, and iced drinks are drifting back into popularity for August and September. With more time inside during the colder seasons, novelties and new recipes tend to become a trend in the dorms.

Financial Management Association hosts leaders at annual Leadership Summit

On Oct. 17, the Auburn Financial Management Association (FMA) hosted its annual Leadership Summit, where a panel of leaders shared characteristics of lifetime leadership with the business students. The Harbert College of Business welcomed the panel: Senator Tommy Tuberville, U.S. Senator for Alabama, Richard McPhall, EVP and CFO for The Home Depot and Erwin Van Der Voort, vice chairman in RBC Capital Markets' global investments bank.

Diving into Auburn's game day glamour

For Auburn students, choosing a game day outfit is almost as important as selecting their seat in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game day traditions that Auburn celebrates have many elements, but navy and orange outfits remain the core of game day culture and school spirit. Every year, southern boutiques across town stock up on trending clothes, new sunglasses and creative game day pins to help students create the “Auburn look” that the campus is known for.
