12 Tigers qualify for NCAA Championships

Twelve athletes (10 swimmers and two divers) punched their ticket to compete in the 2015 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships March 26-28 in Iowa City, Iowa.

The swimmers who earned a place in the competition are senior Alex Hancock, junior Arthur Mendes, sophomores Kyle Darmody, Michael Duderstadt and Joe Patching and freshmen Peter Holoda, Jacob Molacek, Hugo Morris and Zack Warner.

Senior Fraser McKean will lead the divers and compete on the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform for the second straight year after his performances at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships March 9-11.

Justin Youtsey will also dive in all three events after his finishes at the Zone meet this week. It will be the junior’s first career NCAA Championships appearance.

Kyle Darmody - 50 free, 100 free

Michael Duderstadt - 100 breast, 200 breast

Alex Hancock - 200 IM

Peter Holoda - 100 free

Fraser McKean - 1-meter, 3-meter and platform diving

Arthur Mendes - 100 free, 100 fly

Jacob Molacek - 100 breast, 100 free, 200 IM

Hugo Morris - 200 free, 200 fly

Joe Patching - 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM

Zack Warner - 100 breast

Justin Youtsey - 1-meter and 3-meter diving

Jordan Jones- relay alternate
