The Auburn Police Division on Friday arrested and charged Bryan Preston McLeod, 32, with first-degree rape, according to the Auburn Police Division.
McLeod is charged with raping a 21-year-old woman who was an acquaintance of his while she was incapacitated at a residence on Magnolia Avenue on June 5, 2017.
Auburn police developed McLeod as a suspect following an investigation. Police said they have forensic evidence linking him to the crime.
McLeod was taken into custody by Auburn police with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals and was transported to the Lee County Jail, where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.
