The No. 22 men's golf team erased a five-shot deficit to win its third tournament of the year. The team won by 11 over Vanderbilt at the Samford Intercollegiate at the Hoover Country Club Tuesday, March 5.
Going into today, Auburn trailed Vanderbilt, but shot a tournament-low two-under 286 in the final round to claim the top spot.
All-American Dominic Bozzelli earned his third top-10 finish of the year after finishing tied for third at three-under 213. Things started off rough for Bozzelli one-over in the first round, but he rebounded and shot one-under and three-under in the next two rounds.
Michael Johnson tied for seventh, David Zickler had his best finish of the season at 13th, Niclas Carlsson finished 14th and Michael Herbert tied for 23rd.
The Tigers will return to action when they host the Tiger Invitational at the Grand Lake Course in Opelika on March 11-12.
