A public memorial service for former Auburn football player Philip Lutzenkirchen will be held at 8 p.m. EDT on Wednesday at Lassiter High School football stadium in Marietta, Georgia, according to school officials.
A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday followed by Lutzenkirchen's funeral at 1 p.m. in the Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta.
Lutzenkirchen was a star player at Lassiter High School prior to making a name for himself as a tight end at Auburn.
Lutzenkirchen was killed along with Georgia baseball player Ian Davis in an automobile accident early Sunday morning.
The Auburn Athletics Department will also hold a public memorial for Lutzenkirchen at a later time, with arrangements pending. Once plans have been finalized, specifics will be made available.
