Women's golf tees off season with first tournament win since 2012

Auburn women's golf kicked off the 2014 campaign with a tournament win after leading every round throughout the week at The "Mo" Morial in Bryan, Texas.
The Tigers shot a 6-under 282 Wednesday to close out the win. It was Auburn's first finish under par and first tournament win since 2012.
Sophomore Clara Baena shot a career best 6-under 66 Wednesday and finished 7-under 209. Baena connected on 7 birdies in the final round and tied for 1st place with Florida State's Kayla Jones for the tournament individual title.
This was the first individual tournament title in Baena's career.
Freshmen Sophia Schubert finished tied for 5th after she shot a 2-under 70 (218 total) in the final round.
Schubert made bogey on the 4th hole, but never shot worse than par after that the rest of the day. Schubert got better every day, shooting a 76 Monday and a 72 Tuesday.
Junior Alex Harrell shot her best round 1-under 71 Monday and finished 5-over 221 and in a tie for 9th place. Harrell finished with 11 bogeys and 6 birdies for the tournament.
Freshmen Kelli Murphy and junior Jamie Yun finished out the Tigers' scoring with a 7-over and 13-over total respectively. Murphy shot her best round on Tuesday, an even par 72. Murphy carded 4 birdies and 4 bogeys Tuesday.
The Tigers' shot an overall score of 860, which ranks as the 3rd lowest 54 hole total score in program history.
Auburn collected its 36th tournament title under head coach Kim Evans. The Tigers will hit the course again Sept. 19-21 for the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee.
