Auburn suffered a tough 3-2 (24-26, 30-28, 19-25, 25-10, 13-15) loss to Georgia at the Ramsey Center in Athens, Georgia Sunday afternoon.
While out-hitting the Bulldogs .314-.283, a run by Georgia in the final set sent the Tigers packing with another conference loss.
Auburn (10-13, 2-8 SEC) led Georgia in kills (75-63), digs (78-59) and assists (72).
Freshman Macy Reese led the team with 21 kills, while sophomore Stephanie Campbell led with a season-high hitting percentage of .516 and six blocks.
Freshman Courtney Crable had 14 kills with four digs and a block, while sophomore Emily Klitzke had 10 kills.
Alexa Filley's match-high 57 assists marked the fifth time the freshman had more than 50 assists this season. She also posted 19 digs for her eighth double-double in the last 12 matches.
Junior Alyssa Ivey had a team-high 23 digs, the most by an Auburn libero in league play this season.
After Auburn battled back from a 2-1 deficit that forced a final set, Georgia overpowered the Tigers with a 6-1 run at the end.
Five players registered double-digit kills in the match, the most against an SEC team this season for Auburn.
The Tigers' next matchup will be against Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 7 in a home-match at 6 p.m.
