Women's basketball falls short to No. 10 Kentucky

After a solid start, the Tigers were unable to keep up with the fast-scoring pace of the Kentucky offense Thursday, Jan. 8th in Lexington. The 10th-ranked Wildcats defeated the Tigers 78-57. Coming in with a 9-6 record, the Tigers remain unranked.
The Wildcats topped the Tigers in the first half with a 12-point lead, 37-25.
The Tigers struggled in the second half as they slipped to an eventual 21- point deficit to end the game with an impressive performance by Kentucky Senior Jennifer O'Neill, scoring 17 points with six credited assists to Sophomore Makayla Epps.
Junior Tra'Cee Tanner led the Tiger's offense with 23 total points, a 56.3 percent success rate and six rebounds, while Senior Hasina Muhammad proved second most valuable player of the game with 12 points and six rebounds.
The Tigers return home Sunday, Jan. 11, to face Np. 20 Georgia at 1pm CT in the Auburn Arena. \0x200B
