Things keep getting better for the Auburn softball team.
Following an impressive weekend on the west coast, junior second baseman Emily Carosone has been named SEC Player of the Week.
In the five games over the weekend, Carosone recorded a .526 batting average. The Tigers played two ranked opponents, and Carosone shone in both games.
In a 20-2 run-rule win over No.13 Arizona, Carosone went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and home run, three runs scored and three RBI.
Against No. 22 Arizona State, Carosone recorded two hits, one of which was a grand slam in the fourth inning, giving the Tigers a 7-4 lead, and would end up being the difference in the game.
On Wednesday, March 11, the Tigers will have a home game against Troy before heading to Oxford, Mississippi this weekend to open up conference play against Ole Miss.
