Auburn women's tennis player Jen Pfeifler was awarded the Internation Tennis Association Cissie Leary Award for Sportsmanship on Tuesday, May 12.
The award marks the second year an Auburn player won the award after Jackie Kasler won last season.
Pfeifler, a Gulf Breeze, Florida, native, is one of 10 players in the country to win this award, and with it comes a nomination for the ITA Division I National Awards, which will be announced next Tuesday, May 19.
In her 2014 season, Pfeifler tallied a 15-10 record in singles and was 11-7 in dual matches, finishing with a 20-12 mark in doubles and a 12-11 record in dual-match play.
The senior letter winner accompanied the Tigers to three straight NCAA Tournament berths in the last three seasons. As a sophomore, she also led the Tigers to a 19-9 overall record and improved by 11 wins from her freshman season. She finished her second collegiate season ranked No. 40 in the ITA for doubles with Kasler.
Pfeifler defends the second all-time standing in program history with 81 career doubles wins and sixth place with 144 combined victories.
