Auburn golf alumni wins Web.com Tour event

Former Auburn golfer Patton Kizzire won the Utah Championship on Sunday, Aug. 2, with a score of 19-under par.

Kizzire made birdie on the second playoff hole at Thanksgiving Point Golf Course in Lehi, Utah, to defeat Sung Kang, who made five birdies on the back nine on Sunday to tie Kizzire and force a playoff.

The Tuscaloosa native shot 67-65-71-69 to capture his first win on the Web.com Tour.

Kizzire is currently first on the money list with eight events left in the 2015 season. The top 25 finishers on the money list automatically earn a PGA TOUR card for the 2016 season.
