Volleyball breezes past Florida A&M

Auburn volleyball defeated Florida A&M 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-15) on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Auburn Arena.

The Tigers rolled in the first set, but ran into some resistance in the second set as FAMU jumped out to an early 4-0 lead. The set remained close throughout, but Auburn prevailed.

The Rattlers never threatened in the third set, as the Tigers jumped out to an 8-3 lead and never looked back.

Breanna Barksdale led Auburn with 13 kills and Emily Klitzke added 11 more.

Alexa Filley had 36 assists along with seven kills on only nine attempts.

The Tigers will return to action on Friday, Sept. 4, against Syracuse. First serve at Auburn Arena will be at 7 p.m.
