Auburn drops SEC match against Texas A&M 3-0

The Auburn Tigers took the court for the 15th time this season taking on SEC rival Texas A&M. It was not a pretty performance for the Tigers.

The first set ended with a lopsided 25-14 score. The second set did not fair too much better for Auburn. They lost the set 25-17. After Intermission the Tigers came out and played with an extra spark. Although they did not win the third set it they showed a competitive spirit and what they truly are as a team.

After the game Coach Rick Nold said, “we are a better team than we showed”. The killer today was mental mistakes, the Tigers didn't do the little things right, which ended up costing them in the long run.

Statistical leaders for the Tigers include Brenna McIlroy with 15 Kills and Alexa Filley with 35 assists. Defense was one of the weak points of the night, tallying only 2 total team blocks and only 27 digs.

Going forward from here Coach Nold wants his team to move past this loss but also learn from it. Their next action will take place friday against their third straight SEC opponent LSU.
