While many analysts believe Auburn’s basketball program is headed in the right direction with coach Bruce Pearl at the helm, the media doesn’t have faith in the Tigers just yet.

Auburn was picked to finish 10th in the preseason SEC media poll at the conference’s media day in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday. The poll is voted on by SEC media members, as well as national college basketball writers.

Auburn received 168 points, finishing ahead of Arkansas (118), Tennessee (86), Alabama (85) and Missouri (33). Kentucky, which received 406 points, was picked to win the conference.

Auburn also did not have any players placed on the first or second All-Conference teams.

The Tigers were picked to finish eighth in 2014 but fell well short of that mark, finishing 13th with a 4-14 conference record.

The full projected order of finish and All-Conference teams can be found here.
