Auburn to face Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl

Following a disappointing 6-6 regular season, Auburn will finish the year at the Birmingham Bowl against Memphis on Dec. 30.

Auburn went just 2-5 in the SEC, and dropped all four home conference games. The Tigers did claim road wins over Kentucky and Texas A&M, however.

The game will be at Legion Field, which was the home of the Iron Bowl from 1948-88.

Auburn will likely be without defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, who took the head coaching job at South Carolina, and cornerbacks coach Travaris Robinson, who will follow Muschamp to the Gamecocks.

The game will kick off at 11 a.m.
