Auburn defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson will follow Will Muschamp to South Carolina and join him as the defensive coordinator of the Gamecocks, according to AuburnUndercover.
Robinson served under Muschamp at Florida where he served as the defensive backs coach of the Gators, before coming to Auburn with Muschamp last year.
He played at Auburn from 1999-2002 and was named an All-SEC safety in 2002. Robinson spent three years in the NFL before turning to coaching.
Robinson had stops at Auburn, Western Kentucky, Southern Mississippi and Texas Tech before rejoining Muschamp at Florida. This will be Robinson's first stint as a defensive coordinator, however.
Both the Robinson and Muschamp hires are expected to be officially announced Monday.
