Following back-to-back double-doubles, Auburn's Tra'Cee Tanner has been named the SEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the first time a Tiger has received the honor since Hasina Muhammad did on Dec. 12, 2012.
Against Florida Gulf Coast, Tra'Cee recorded 15 points and 19 rebounds and then racked up 17 points in the second half to go along with 10 rebounds during Auburn's upset win over No. 7 Kentucky on Sunday. The last Auburn player to register back-to-back double-doubles was Tyrese Tanner, Tra'Cee's older sister, in the 2013-14 season.
Tra'Cee is currently second in the SEC in field goal percentage at 62.5 percent, and she is fifth in rebounds at 8.6 per game.
Auburn continues conference play on the road in Starkville on Thursday, as the Tigers visit No. 8 Mississippi State at 7:30 p.m.
