Women's basketball picked up a 65-60 road win against Ole Miss on Thursday night, Feb. 11, at The Pavilion after rallying from a 12-point, second half deficit.
Senior Tra'Cee Tanner led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points and nine rebounds. Katie Frerking added 17 points, four rebounds and six assists. Janiah McKay chipped in 12 points and four rebounds.
A'Queen Hayes led Ole Miss with 17 points.
Tanner played huge for the Tigers down the stretch, blocking a shot on Ole Miss' final possession and hitting two free throws with less than a second remaining to secure the win.
Despite 21 turnovers, Auburn (17-8, 7-5 SEC) shot a red-hot 53.3 percent for the game and hit three of their four 3-point attempts. Tonight's win was Auburn's first win in Oxford since 2012.
Auburn will now begin a three-game home stand, starting with a Valentine's Day date with the Florida Gators on Sunday, Feb. 14.
