Auburn lost its fourth game of the season — all by one run — Friday night, as the Tigers fell to Troy, 4-3 in 11 innings, in Pensacola, Florida.
Jordan Ebert put Auburn on the board in the third inning with a 2-RBI single, and Niko Buentello added two more runs, giving him an SEC-leading 22 RBIs.
Starting pitcher Justin Camp threw 6.1 innings and allowed three runs, the final two of which tied the game in the fifth inning. Ben Braymer took the loss after being responsible for the game-winning baserunner.
Neither team could capitalize in the first frame of extra innings, but the Trojans went home with a win when Matt Sanders drove in Bert Givens with a single off of Gabe Klobosits.
Anfernee Grier led Auburn with three hits.
The Tigers return to action Saturday at 11 p.m. vs. Michigan State.
