Auburn's Kasey Cooper has been named the SEC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. The junior from Dothan, Alabama, helped Auburn go 5-0 in the Wilson/DeMarini Classic while breaking the school's all-time record for career home runs (43).
On the week, Cooper had a .692 batting average with nine hits — including three doubles and the record-breaking homer — nine runs, five RBI and six walks.
Cooper's fourth-inning home run in the first game of the tournament against Indiana sparked a furious rally, as the Tigers came back from a 7-0 deficit to win 8-7 in eight innings. Auburn finished the tournament with 44 unanswered runs.
Cooper has been unstoppable during the past two weeks, as she has a nine-game hit streak and a nine-game run streak.
