Auburn basketball commit Austin Wiley will return home to Alabama with a gold medal and a world championship.
Wiley, a five star commit from Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama, has been competing with the Team USA U17 for the past month, and defeated Turkey in a 96-56 rout on Sunday in Zaragoza, Spain. Wiley scored six points, made all four free throws he attempted and grabbed four rebounds in the victory. The 6-foot-10 power forward was one of 12 athletes competing with the United States in the tournament.
Sunday's victory marked the United State's seventh of the tournament, resulting in a unblemished record. The U.S. also won the past three tournaments and is now a perfect 30-0 in U17 contests.
