Simpson becomes the fifth Tiger in Auburn's 2019 class, joining fellow corner Cordale Flott, center Jakai Clark, wide receiver George Pickens and quarterback Bo Nix. His commitment propels Auburn to No. 25 in the 247 Sports class rankings.
The commitment from Simpson, who ranks as the No. 28 athlete in the class (247 Sports), kicks off what could be a big week for Auburn on the recruiting trail. Simpson's high school teammate, 12th-ranked athlete Jashawn Sheffield, is on an Auburn visit this week and considers the Tigers a heavy favorite.
