Auburn slugger Edouard Julien arrested for public intoxication, criminal littering

In Alabama, public intoxication is a violation that carries a maximum of 30 days in jail. The criminal littering charge is a Class C misdemeanor in the state and is a minimum $250 dollar fine.

Julien is coming off of a Freshman All-American campaign where he started in 59 games, batted .275 and had a team-high 17 home runs and 69 RBI’s. The 69 RBI’s broke Frank Thomas’ freshman program record set in 1987. The Quebec, Canada, native placed first in RBI’s and second in HR’s among freshman in the country.

Julien’s court date is set for Nov. 1.
