A 22-year-old Auburn man was arrested on Tuesday for the possession of child pornography, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Zane Hanson Lynch, of Auburn, was charged following an investigation conducted by the Auburn Police Department and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
James Pescia, Auburn assistant police chief, said that the arrest stems from an anonymous tip that images of suspected child pornography were uploaded to the internet in Auburn on April 12, 2026. After an investigation, authorities identified Lynch as the suspect and officially submitted a warrant for his arrest.
On Tuesday, officers with the Auburn Police Department contacted Lynch, who was then taken into custody. Lynch is currently being held at the Lee County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
This case remains ongoing; this page will be updated as more information becomes available.
