Jayvaughn Myers is following his half-brother's footsteps.
The sophomore defensive back has left the Auburn football program along with receiver Nate Craig-Myers, Gus Malzahn confirmed Thursday evening at Tiger Talk.
"It's a new day in college football. I think you'll see more of that in the next week or so," Malzahn said of players transferring due to the new redshirt rule. "We wish them nothing but the best."

With a new NCAA rule, players are allowed to see action in up to four games without using a year of eligibility.
Myers had difficulty finding playing time since his arrival on The Plains. The Tampa, Florida, product saw the field just once last season, against Louisiana-Monroe, and recorded no stats.
The likes of freshmen Christian Tutt, Jamien Sherwood and Smoke Monday, along with sophomore Jordyn Peters, were playing over Myers early this season. Additionally, sophomore Devan Barrett switched from receiver to defensive back after Week 1.
Myers joins Craig-Myers, tight end Jalen Harris, punter Aidan Marshall, defensive back John Broussard Jr. and offensive lineman Tyler Carr on the list of Tigers to depart the program this season.
