Auburn quarterback commit Bo Nix wrote his name in the history books Friday night.

2019's No. 1 dual-threat quarterback according to 247Sports Composite became Alabama’s all-time leader in total yards.

Heading into the Class 6A semifinal, Nix was 29 yards shy of the all-time record with 11,760 total yards – 9,731 passing and 1,999 rushing.

The record-setting play came on a 29-yard touchdown pass to Demarion Holloman to tie to the ball game.

Nix tossed three more touchdown passes and 326 yards in the 28-20 win over Clay-Chalkville to advance to the Class 6A State Final against Saraland that will be held at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Nix is the No. 3 rated recruit in Auburn’s 2019 recruiting class, following wide receiver George Pickens and outside linebacker Owen Pappoe.
