In the past month, the staffs at Florida and Georgia have been pushing hard to earn the favor of 2020 three-star defensive tackle Damarjhe Lewis.

According to Lewis, they're in the running, but his commitment to Auburn is as strong as it's ever been.

"They're still on my mind, but Auburn is at the top of my list," Lewis said Sunday after a visit to Auburn.

Lewis, who committed to the Tigers' 2020 class on Aug. 13, said the energy inside Jordan-Hare Stadium is the best he's ever experienced — and that's been key in keeping his commitment.

"Nobody's atmosphere is like Auburn," Lewis said. "When I go to the games, I don't feel like I feel at Auburn. Auburn — it feels like home. I'm comfortable.

"It's been great. I love it here. I'm staying right now. Auburn No. 1 on the list."

Lewis (Griffin, Ga.) said of all the Tigers' recruiters he's been involved with, defensive line coach Rodney Garner has been the most influential. Lewis, who is rated as the nation's No. 38 defensive tackle by the 247Sports Composite, said Garner is like a "father figure."

"Coach Garner," Lewis said of who has made the difference at Auburn in his recruitment. "I love the environment on game days here. (Garner) keeps everybody together, like a family up here."
