Auburn has lost its first to the transfer portal.

Defensive tackle Jaunta'vius Johnson will join Mel Tucker's Colorado team next season as a grad transfer, according to Johnson's Twitter page.

According to Rivals' Jay Tate, Johnson entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday, which allowed him to contact other coaches and teams. Entering the portal does not guarantee the previous school (Auburn) will retain the athlete's scholarship, however.

Johnson appeared in two games in his Auburn career from 2015-18, totaling two tackles. Out of Lincoln High School (Lincoln, Ala.), Johnson was rated as a top-30 defensive line prospect four years ago.
