The Super Bowl has ended, which means football is over until next season.

At least, it did until this year.

This year the Alliance of American Football began its inaugural season on February 10 — one week after the conclusion of the NFL season. The new league features eight teams: The Arizona Hotshots, Atlanta Legends, Birmingham Iron, Memphis Express, Orlando Apollos, Salt Lake Stallions, San Antonio Commanders and San Diego Fleet.

With the new league, five former Auburn players will be represented this season on the Iron. Some already made an impact Week 1, the most notable being Ryan White's fourth-down stop to keep Birmingham's shutout alive.

Quan Bray:

  • Played WR for Auburn during the 2011, 2013-2014 seasons
  • Primarily return specialist; expected to play special teams for Iron
  • Played for Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans during NFL career (2015-2018)

Chris Davis:

  • Played DB for Auburn during the 2010-2013 seasons
  • Widely known for the Kick Six during the 2013 Iron Bowl
  • Played for San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers during NFL career (2014-2016)

Trovon Reed:

  • Played WR for Auburn (converted to DB senior year) during the 2010 (one game), 2011, 2013-2014 seasons
  • Most extensive NFL career of the five players: Seattle Seahawks (four stints), ST. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, and San Francisco 49ers (2015-2018)

Ryan White:

  • Played DB for Auburn during the 2010-2013 seasons
  • Played for Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons during NFL career (2014-2016)

Avery Young:

  • Played OG for Auburn during the 2012-2015 seasons
  • Started in 36 of 37 career games at Auburn
  • Played for New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Seattle Seahawks during NFL career (2016-2018)
