Chandler Cox, Auburn's reliable fullback for the past four seasons is headed to the sunny beaches of Miami following his seventh round selection in the NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins.
Cox was selected by the Miami Dolphins as the 233rd overall pick in the seventh round. The Dolphins were one of four teams Cox said he met with prior to the draft and they selected him on Saturday.
The senior fullback played in 52 career games at Auburn. He finished his Auburn career with 237 receiving yards on 26 receptions and one touchdown; Cox also proved capable on the ground as well finishing with 18 rushing yards on 11 attempts and three touchdowns.
Chandler Cox was Auburn's fifth selection of this year's draft, the program's most since 2015.
