Following a 6-4 regular season, Auburn will head to the Citrus Bowl and face No. 14 Northwestern on New Year's Day. The game will air at noon CST on ABC.

This will be the second-ever meeting between the two schools. The first meeting between the Tigers and Wildcats was in the 2010 Outback Bowl, a 38-35 overtime win for Auburn.

Northwestern finished the regular season with a 6-1 record with a loss to Michigan State. The Wildcats earned a spot in the Big Ten Championship game but lost 22-10 to Ohio State.
